This form of wordless prayer is being offered at Schoenstatt Scotland for the first time.  In contemplative meditation you raise your heart toward God with a humble stirring of love.  Here we think of him and not any good to be gained from him.  This calls for intense contemplation but it can be taught, and it will take time and effort, but it is truly worth every effort exerted in this direction.  Your motivation is love, and you strip everything else away in its pure pursuit.

How it will be offered; well, in 2015 some retreat elements will include the beginning of contemplative awareness, and some residential retreats will have it included as a brief element.  But toward the end of the year, there will be an entire residential day retreat offered on contemplative meditation.  It is a retreat open to all faiths.

If interested contact The Centre Manager or one of the sisters: Call: 0044 (0)1360 312 718.  We will keep your details together so that when the residential day is planned, we will alert you in good time.

Schoenstatt has 14 Twin rooms and three single rooms for this retreat.
