This is a Christian School of Meditation Retreat.  It lasts 90 minutes only and is priced accordingly at £6 per person.  It includes all beverages and biscuits, and all notes associated with the retreat.  It takes apart and explains the image in question and then associates it with our own lives today.

The second element in each or these Mindful Visual Meditations  includes a piece of contemplation with you read for yourself and then take from it what you require.  This retreat is a great vehicle for those wishing a retreat sampler as it deals with two topics in every case.

    Igniting the Joy of Silence

This is a Christian School of Mediation  Retreat

    Half Day Retreat 10:30 – 13:30hrs

    Monday 4 December

    Cost:  £15  Per Person

Igniting the joy of silence is a perfect act of Pre-Christmas kindness to yourself.

This retreat comprises silent elements, but is more an introduction to, and will lead the retreatant into the potentiality of undertaking a fully silent retreat in 2018 (all meals are not silent, and there will be a recreation hour (similar to monastic settings) in the evening where you might wish to share your experience on silent retreat with others).

This retreat includes all beverages and a sandwich luncheon, plus all notes from the presentation.

The deepest communication with Jesus and his mother, Mary, comes in silence.  Those who follow the mantra meditations will by now have become used to small periods of silence in their lives as the say the mantra for 20 minutes each day.

Have no fear of silence, it is something we should yearn for.  Silence prepares us for: reflection and resting: Growth and creating: Listening absorbing and focussing: Inner searching and privacy to engage with it: Peace and contentment: Prayer, meditation and worship: Serious reading: Connection in all forms: Spirit and mindfulness: planning and organizing; thought without distraction and concentration.  Silence is used as total communication, in reference to non-verbal communication and spiritual connection.

At Schoenstatt Scotland we use the spiritual discipline of silence in order to make space to listen to Jesus and HIs mother, Mary, to rest in them and to pray.  For silence reveals God as nothing else.
