During the last months of 2004 we heard that there was to be changes of staff at Campsie Glen. Sr Mary Elsbeth was asked to go to work in South Africa while we welcomed Sr Claire for the first time to the Centre. Sr Mary Elsbeth comes from Glasgow and both she and her family were deeply involved in the development of the new Shrine and centre. Her mother frequently helps out in the kitchen. She will be greatly missed but promises to make a return visit at the end of March to help out with the planned project for Schools based around the year of the Eucharist.
Sr Claire comes originally from Bolton not far from the English shrine at Kearsley. She has worked for many years in South Africa and this is her first placement back in the British Isles. Easily recognisable by both her Bolton accent and the fact she towers head and shoulders above all the other sisters, we are glad to welcome her to Campsie and wish her many happy and fruitful years with us.
