As the Inverness Schoenstatt group gathered for it's annual retreat, the autumn sun shone from a clear blue sky. Sr Margareta and two members from the women's group in Glasgow traveled north to help with the arrangements. The venue was the Coachouse at Kilmuir on the Black Isle and the day which focused on the Covenant of Love and the Luminous mysteries of the Rosary.
The Coach House, Kilmuir, North Kessock on the Black Isle, was the venue for a Mothers' Retreat led by Sr.Margareta of Schoenstatt, Campsie Glen. This was attended by 15 mothers, 2 from Glasgow area and 13 from in and around Inverness. The day began by attending a Eucharistic service at St .Ninian's church in Inverness, then proceeding by cars to Kilmuir, arriving there for 11am. Tea & biscuits was followed by limbering up in the garden to get the oxygen coursing around the body, and then introducing ourselves to each other by moving around the circle, shaking hands and saying 'pleased to see you, my name is......' Back indoors we began our meditation by singing 'Morning has Broken', followed by the covenant prayer. Sister encouraged us to try and take something home from the day, especially as God has provided us with beautiful sunshine and nature, his best for his 'beloved' - us. We must let him spoil us. The day included lunch and finished at 4pm with tea & cake. All who attended found the day uplifting and much food for thought and look forward to the next one. Rosa Finlayson [back] |
