Ballencleroch house first opened in 1995. The house is a regional centre of the International Schoenstatt movement. Every centre can be recognised by two special features, the Formation Centre and the Schoenstatt Shrine. For more information on the Shrine → click here.
The Formation centres are places of education and spiritual formation which offer a wide range of facilities for Individuals and groups.

The centre has over 16
bedrooms including14 rooms with two single beds
2 single rooms
Every room has toilet and shower facilities and is furnished with an armchair plus writing desk. If you wish, you can also make yourself tea and coffee. The north facing rooms have a wonderful view of the Campsie Fells. The south facing rooms look out onto the patio with its fountain and rockery garden.

St Joseph's house has a
further 2 double rooms and a single room. For guests using this house
the upper section is a self contained flat with all necessary cooking
and washing facilities.The lower part of the house has a large room and is open for day guests and those dropping by to visit the shrine. There are also facilities for making tea and coffee. In addition to this is at that place a well stocked Piety shop with books, rosaries and many other items of a devotional nature.
There are function and meeting rooms that
can be adapted for large or small conferences:
- - 2 conference rooms for 60 people
- - 1 Conference room for 120 people
- - 1 Conference room for 20 people
- - Dining Room for 32 people
If the children are happy, so are
Mum and Dad! We have a special playroom which is well equipped for the
wee ones and a library is available for the adults to relax and
take things easy.
